Dr. Erin McCarty, DVM
Veterinarian
We are excited to announce that we have a new doctor joining our team! Some of you may have had the pleasure of meeting her already, as she has worked as a relief veterinarian for us in the past year. Dr. Erin McCarty is not only an excellent doctor, but also a wonderful person! She will be working Mondays and Tuesdays, while Dr. Priest works Wednesdays thru Saturdays.
Hi! I’m Dr. Erin McCarty. A little bit about me— I grew up in Ventura County and knew from the age of 5 that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I attended UC Davis for 8 years, earning a bachelor’s degree in genetics followed by veterinary school where I graduated in 2010 with honors. I live with my husband on a small hobby farm that we share with 3 Morgan horses, 5 Dwarf Nigerian goats, our Golden Retriever Sebastian, and our cat Pickle. When not working, I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, and photography just to name a few. I also love working with physically and mentally challenged children, teens, and adults using my horses and goats for animal therapy. I so look forward to meeting you and your feline companions!
